An exceptionally talented team composed of registered nurses, nurse practitioners, a social worker, a dietitian and physicians ensure that each patient receives dialysis in an individualized caring environment.
The Taunton Regional Dialysis Center has a home dialysis program providing instruction and supervision in all aspects of peritoneal dialysis and home hemodialysis including NxStage. The Center has a room dedicated to home training of dialysis therapies. Directed by a nurse specialist with more than twenty years of experience in all aspects of home dialysis therapy, patients and family members will benefit from having the choice of various home dialysis modalities.
Our physicians are affiliated with all hospitals in Taunton, Brockton and many of the major Boston teaching facilities. In fact, the Taunton Regional Dialysis Center is the patient referral center for all major teaching hospitals needing to refer patients for out-patient dialysis in the Taunton regional area.

Meet Our Team
Dr. Allan Lauer, MD, FACP, FASN
Dr. Lauer is recognized as a leader in the field of nephrology in Southeastern Massachusetts. As a member of Associates in Nephrology for more than twenty-five years, he was instrumental in introducing dialysis therapy to many of the area hospitals. Prior to joining Associates in Nephrology, Dr. Lauer held faculty appointments in the division of nephrology at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York and Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. Dr. Lauer is co-author of twelve peer-reviewed publications in prestigious medical journals regarding end stage renal disease, renal replacement therapy, and chronic renal failure. He is committed to ensuring that his patients receive the best medical care possible.
Dr. Lauer completed his undergraduate education at Kenyon College in Ohio, graduated from New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York, completed his internship and residency at the Medical University of South Carolina and his nephrology fellowship at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in New York. He holds the title of Instructor in Medicine at Tufts Medical Center in Boston.
Dr. Daniel Bohl, MD
Dr. Bohl is a well-respected nephrologist in the greater Boston area. He graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. Bohl completed his nephrology fellowship at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University where he continued as faculty with an interest in transplant nephrology. He has co-authored multiple peer reviewed papers, review articles, and a textbook chapter. He joined the established and expanding nephrology practice Associates in Nephrology in 2007. Dr. Bohl is the medical director of the Brockton Kidney Center. He is constantly inspired by opportunities to enhance patient care. Dr. Bohl is dedicated to serving his patients with compassion and understanding.
Dr. Ian Wu, MD
Ian M. Wu, MD specializes in nephrology, hypertension and dialysis. After graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a major in Biology and a minor in Psychology, Dr. Wu attended medical school at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He then completed an internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University Medical School Residency Program, followed by a fellowship in Nephrology at Yale University. Prior to moving to Massachusetts, Dr. Wu worked as a hospitalist and as a nephrologist in Pittsburgh.
